The Map of Love

While I LOVED this book, I'm cautious as to who I recommend it to..since none of my friends enjoyed it. It's told from the point of view of three women - one is a modern-day American, another is a modern-day Egyptian, and another is an English woman in Egypt in the early 1900s. It's a deep dive into Egyptian culture and Ahdaf Soueif's writing makes you feel like you're there. Romance, politics, intrigue, colonialism...amazing.
