THE following strictures on the work of Dr. Milner, entitled "The End of Religious Controversy," were written by W. M'Gavin, Esq. and circulated by him, in 1822, in a weekly paper, which he then was engaged in publishing, against Popery. They are here reprinted, with permission, and without alteration, and with only some verbal corrections, and the omission of a few sentences or expressions of a personal nature, or which had reference to temporary circumstances of the day. |
