මෙත්නෙන් (නෙන්) වෙරනසනු—By means of good will destroy hatred.

රුක්නගෙන් (හගෙන්) හුනු වඳුරෝ—Monkeys have fallen from trees.

තිලොවට is in the Singular, and means " the three-fold world. " This is properly put in the Genitive or Locative in Sanscrit.

8. මවගේ (අහේ) සිත පෙමිනදී —A mother's heart is full

of love.

සඳුගේ (උහේ ) පිත් සොමි වේ - Mercury is the son of the

moon.

සොරාගේ (ආගේ) සිතනපුරි - The thief's heart is wicked (cruel). රජහුගේ (හුගේ) පිරිසබලවති—The king's suite is great. Genitive, Plural.

නරන්ගේ (අන්ගේ) දනදනී - The riches and wealth of

men.

ඇතුන්ගේ (උන්ගේ)ඳිඟුඳල—The long tusks of elephants. රුක්නගේ (නගේ) අතුපතර—The branches and foliage of trees.

තඹරානගේ (ආනගේ) දල පෙල—The leafy assemblage of Lotuses.

Locative, Singular.

9. ලක්දිව (ඇ) රජෙවි—There was a king in the Island of Lanka.

මෙලකෙහි (එහි) සතුරු වියවුල් - There was danger from

enemies in Lanka.

කොටුවේ (ඒ) වෙඩි ඇසේ— Reports of guns are heard

in the Fort.

සිතෙහි (එහි) තදබිය උපදී— Great dread is apprehended

in the mind.

Locative, Plural.

තඹරන්හි (අන්හි ) මී වේ - Amongst the Lotuses honey is produced.

මල්වල (වල*) බිඟුන් හැසිරෙන් - Bees dwell in flowers. සතන්හි (අන්හි) ලාදරව්—Bear (it) in minds.

සතුරන් කෙරෙහි ( කෙරෙහි) කහිගුන What goodness (is there) in enemies ?
