In all these Paffages, the Father is stiled GOD absolutely, by way of Eminence ; The Construction it self



necessarily confining the Word, God, to the Person of the Father only. It is Reasonable in all other places of the New Testament, to understand the Word in the same Sense; excepting those passages, which are hereafter set down, wherein the Perfon of the Son singly, is likewise stiled God.


The Passages, wherein he is stiled God with some peculiar high Titles, Epithets, or Attributes; which, tho' Most of them indeed not incommunicable, yet in the New Testament are (generally, if not) always by way of Supreme Emi
