The crude forms of Neuter Nouns ending in,, or the 'weak' sometimes used in the place of the Objective in both Numbers; as, ಮರ ಕಡಿದನು; ಮಗನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದು, In some places, when the crude form is used in stead of the Objective, the final vowel, if short, is lengthened; e, ೪, ಮರಾ ಹತ್ತಿ ಬುಡಾ ಕಡಿದನು; ಇಹಾ ನಂಬಿ ಪರಾ ಮರೆತನು. (Prv) Often the Accusative drops its syllable or at least one in it. These forms mostly occur in Poetry; as, 1 ಚರ್ಮ ಖಂಡವ ಕಡಿವ ಭವಾಮೃತ).” ವಿಮಲ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಾಗಮವನ್ನು ರ್ವನಿರ್ದೆನು” ect. THE POSSESSIVE. In some compounds (* g), the Possessive-ending is dropped; as; ರಾಜಪುತ್ರ ಬಾಳೆಹಣ್ಣು, Note. Such compounds are called 93. THE LOCATIVE. The ending changed to g or the Old affixwg; as, ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಸಂತೆಯೋಳು; ಕರದೊಳು is often oggi, It is also changed to ಅತಿ; ತುಮಕಿ ಹೊ ಫಿರಂಗಿ ಹು ಹೈದ ಹಾಗೆ, ನದೀ ದಾಟಿ ಬದೀಲಿ ಬಿದ್ದನು. (Prv.)
