It is now a considerable time since any work has been published, consisting of Theological Questions, and those such as a student might expect to meet with in examination for Holy Orders. To supply the deficiency, the present volume has been prepared; containing Questions on the Old and New Testaments, the Evidences and Doctrines of Christianity, and such parts of Ecclesiastical History, as are specially interesting and important to an English theological student. The queries on Scripture characters, facts, and history, must rather be considered as specimens, than as forming a complete series of Examination Papers. These might have been multiplied to almost any amount, and would have swelled the volume to an inconvenient size. The same remark applies in some degree to the other Papers. Still it has |
