PREFACE. THE system of Elocution laid down in this work, is one which the Author has found successful in his own practice, with a large number of pupils; it has also the advantage of the approval of several professors of Elocution, and others interested in the art; which circumstances have induced hiin to publish it, with the hope that it will, at least, be found simple, easy of comprehension, and of assistance to teacher as well as pupil.
