A SERMON, &c. 1 THESS. V. 27. "PROVE ALL THINGS: HOLD FAST THAT WHICH IS GOOD." THE Apostle Paul, in addressing his Galatian converts, at the very outset of his endeavours to reestablish them in that faith and practice from which they had been partially enticed by false Teachers, uses these remarkable words,*— "Though we, or an Angel from Heaven, preach any other Gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed;" and, as though he feared lest this expression were not sufficiently forcible, he adds, in his own energetic language, "As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other Gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
