By the 7 & 8 G. 4. c. 29. s. 5. it is made felony to steal any tally, order, or other security whatsoever, entitling or evidencing the title of any person, or body corporate, to any share or interest in any public stock or fund, whether of this kingdom or of Great Britain, or

Felony of the same nature, and in the same degree, and punishable

in the same manner, as if the defendant had stolen any chattel of like value, with the share, interest, or depo

of Ireland, or of any foreign state, or in any fund of any body corporate, company or society, or to any deposit in any savings' bank, or any debenture, deed, bond, bill, note, warrant, order, or other security whatsoever, for money, or for payment of money, whether of this kingdom, or of any foreign state, or any warrant or order for the delivery, or transfer of any goods, or valuable thing. The several documents hereinbefore enumerated are included in, and denoted by the words "valuable security," wherever they occur in this

Stealing Letters. Any person stealing a post letter-bag, or a post letter preceding. 7 W. 4. & from a post letter-bag, or stealing a post letter from a post-office, or from a mail, or stopping a mail with intent to rob or search the same. 7 W. 4. and 1 V. c. 36. s. 28.

Stealing from a Post-office Packet. Any person stealing or unlawfully taking away a post letter-bag sent by a postoffice packet; stealing or unlawfully taking a letter out of any such bag; or unlawfully opening such bag. 7 W. 4. and 1 V. c. 36. s. 29.
