Arranged from SCHULTZ, by DR. MASON.
1. An other six days' work is done; An other Sab-bath is be- gun:
Return, my soul, un - to thy rest;
En-joy the day thy God hath blest.
2. OH, that our tho'ts and thanks may rise, As grateful incense to the skies! And draw from heaven that calm repose, Which none but he who feels it knows.
8. That heavenly calm within the breast! It is the pledge of that dear rest Which for the church of God remains,- The end of cares, the end of pains.
4. In holy duties let the day,
In holy pleasures, pass away. How sweet a Sabbath thus to spend, In hope of one that ne'er shall end !
Communion with Christ in Worship.
1. FAR from my tho'ts, vain world, begone! Let my religious hours alone: Fain would mine eyes my Saviour see; I wait a visit, Lord, from thee.
2. My heart grows warm with holy fire, And kindles with a pure desire : Come, my dear Jesus! from above, And feed my soul with heavenly love.
3. Blest Saviour! what delicious fare, How sweet thine entertainments are! Never did angels taste, above, Redeeming grace and dying love.
4. Hail, great Immanuel, all divine!
In thee thy Father's glories shine: Thou brightest, sweetest, fairest One That eyes have seen, or angels known!
"Who is this King of glory?" PSALM XXIV.
1. Oн, hallowed is the land, and blest, Where Christ, the Ruler, is confessed! Oh, happy hearts and happy homes, To whom the great Redeemer comes! 2. Lift up your heads, ye mighty gates! Behold, the King of glory waits: The King of kings is drawing near; The Saviour of the world is here.
3. Fling wide the portals of your heart: Make it a temple set apart
From earthly use for heaven's employ, Adorned with prayer, and love, and joy!
4. Redeemer, come! I open wide
My soul to thee; here, Lord, abide! Thankful and glad my song I raise, And give to thee a life of praise.
19. "I will that men pray everywhere." 1. JESUS, where'er thy people meet, There they behold thy mercy-seat; Where'er they seek thee, thou art found, And every place is hallowed ground.
2. For thou, within no walls confined, Inhabitest the humble mind; Such ever bring thee where they come, And going, take thee to their home.
3. Great Shepherd of thy chosen few! Thy former mercies here renew; Here to our waiting hearts proclaim The sweetness of thy saving name.
MOZART. Arranged by DR MASON.
"Welcome, delightful Morn." 1. WELCOME, delightful morn, Thou day of sacred rest! I hail thy kind return―
Lord, make these moments blest: From the low train of mortal toys, I soar to reach immortal joys.
2. Now may the King descend,
And fill his throne of grace; Thy scepter, Lord, extend,
While saints address thy face: Let sinners feel thy quickening word, And learn to know and fear the Lord.
3. Descend, celestial Dove,
With all thy quickening powers; Disclose a Saviour's love,
And bless the sacred hours: Then shall my soul new life obtain, Nor Sabbaths be enjoyed in vain. 21. "The Day that God hath Blessed." 1. AWAKE, ye saints, awake! And hail this sacred day; In loftiest songs of praise
Your joyful homage pay: Come bless the day that God hath blest, The type of heaven's eternal rest.
2. On this auspicious morn
The Lord of life arose; He burst the bars of death,
And vanquished all our foes: And now he pleads our cause above, And reaps the fruit of all his love.
3. All hail, triumphant Lord!
Heaven with hosannas rings; And earth in humbler strains,
Thy praise responsive sings:
"Early will I seek Thee." PSALM 1xiii.
1. EARLY, my God! without delay, I haste to seek thy face; My thirsty spirit faints away, Without thy cheering grace.
2. So pilgrims on the scorching sand, Beneath a burning sky, Long for a cooling stream at hand, And they must drink or die.
3. I've seen thy glory and thy power Through all thy temple shine: My God! repeat that heavenly hour, That vision so divine.
4. Not life itself, with all its joys, Can my best passions move, Or raise so high my cheerful voice As thy forgiving love.
5. Thus, till my last, expiring day,
I'll bless my God and King: Thus will I lift my hands to pray, And tune my lips to sing.

To spread, with grateful zeal, around Her clear and shining light.

To thee lift mine up
2. Up to the hills where Christ is gone, To plead for all his saints, Presenting at his Father's throne
Our songs and our complaints.
3. Thou art a God before whose sight The wicked shall not stand; Sinners shall ne'er be thy delight, Nor dwell at thy right hand. 4. But to thy house will I resort, To taste thy mercies there; I will frequent thy holy court, And worship in thy fear.
5. O, may thy Spirit guide my feet In ways of righteousness! Make every path of duty straight And plain before my face.
