1 Mary cometh to the sepulchre: 3 so do Peter and John, ignorant of the resurrection. 11 Jesus appeareth to Mary Magdalene, 19 and to his disciples. 24 The incredulity, and confession of Thomas. 30 The scripture is sufficient to salvation.

THE first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. 21 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

12 And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid

him.

14 And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

16 Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and ẞ saith unto him ß, Rabboni; which is to say, 6 Master 6. 17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to ẞmy B Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to m my God, and your God.

Christ's charge to Peter.

Anno DOMINI 33.

19, 26.

13 Jesus then cometh, and taketh bread, and giveth them, and fish likewise. 14 This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, See ch. 20. after that he was risen from the dead. 15 So when they had 5 dined 5, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of B Jonas B, lovest thou me more 7 than these 7? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I 8 love 8 thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of ẞ Jonas B, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. iHei Acts 20. 28. saith unto him, 9 Feed my y sheepy. 17 He saith unto him the third time, AFTER these things Jesus Ishewed 1 Simon, son of & Jonas B, lovest thou me ? himself again to the disciples at the Peter was grieved because he said unto sea of Tiberias; and on this wise 1 shew-him the third time, Lovest thou me ? ed he himself. And he said unto him, Lord, k thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my y sheep y.

1 Christ appearing again to his disciples was
known of them by the great draught of fishes.
12 He dineth with them: 15 earnestly com-
mandeth Peter to feed his lambs and sheep:
18 foretelleth him of his death: 22 rebuketh his
curiosity touching John. 25 The conclusion.

2 There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and a Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples.

3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a
fishing. They say unto him, We also go
with thee. They went forth, and entered
into 2a2 ship immediatelyß; and that
night they caught nothing.

4 But when the morning was now come,
Jesus stood on the shore: but the dis-
ciples knew not that it was Jesus.
5 3 Then 3 d Jesus saith unto them,
Children, have ye any meat? They an-
swered him, No.

6 And he said unto them, Cast the
net on the right side of the ship, and
ye shall find. They cast therefore, and
now they were not able to draw it for
the multitude of fishes.

7 Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. 3 Now 3 when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher's coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea.

8 And the other disciples came in 2a2
little ship; (for they were not far from
land, but as it were two hundred cubits,)
dragging the net with fishes.

9 As soon then as they were come to
land, they saw a fire of coals there, and
fish laid thereon, and bread 4.
10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the
fish which ye have now caught.

11 Simon Peter went up, and drew the
net to land full of great fishes, an hun-
dred and fifty and three and for all
there were so many, yet was not the net
broken.

12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and 5 dine 5. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.

CHAPTER 2.

THE ACTS, 2.

1 The apostles, filled with the Holy Ghost, and
speaking divers languages, are admired by some,
and derided by others. 14 Whom Peter disprov-
ing, and shewing that the apostles spake by the
power of the Holy Ghost, that Jesus was risen
from the dead, ascended into heaven, had pour-
ed down the same Holy Ghost, and was the
Messias, a man known to them to be approved
of God by his miracles, wonders, and signs, and
not crucified without his determinate counsel
and foreknowledge: 37 he baptizeth a great
number that were converted. 41 Who afterwards
devoutly and charitably converse together: the

apostles working many miracles, and God daily
increasing his church.

AND when the day of Pentecost was

fully come1, they were all ẞ with
one accord ẞ in one place.

2 And suddenly there came a sound from
heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and
cit filled all the house where they were
sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them 2 cloven
tongues 2 like as of fire, and it sat upon
each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the
Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem
Jews, devout men, out of every nation
under heaven.

6 Now when 3 this was noised abroad 3,
the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man
heard them speak in his own language.
7 And they were B all 8 amazed and
marvelled, saying yone to anothery, Be-
hold, are not all these which speak Gali-
læans?

8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judæa, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,

10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and 5 strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?

13 Others mocking said, These men are full of 6new wine".

14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: 15 For these are not drunken, as ye 1 Thess. 5. suppose, 9 seeing it is but the third hour of the day.
