Pàgina 183 - Two or three feet high, divergently branched, the branches ascending. Leaves linear, elongated, 2-4-in. long, i^-4-lines wide, acute; flowers solitary in the axils of the upper leaves or bracts, yellow ; sepals ovate-lanceolate acute, narrower than those of L. alternifolia ; branches and both sides of the leaves somewhat pubesent. Petals apparently remaining on the plant longer than those of L. alternifolia, which, as Dr. Millspaugh observes, commonly fall away when the plant is shocked.
