7. Då fade JEsus till honom: Det år od sfrifmit: HENran din Gud sfall du icke fresta.

8. Då tog åter djefwulen honom med sig uppå ett ganska högt berg, och wiste honom alla rifen i werlden, och deras hårlighet,

9. Och sade till honom: Alt detta will jag gifwa dig, om du faller ned, och tillbeder mig.

10. Då fade JEsus till honom : Gack bort, Satan; ty det år skrifwit: HENran din Gud skall du tillbedja, oh honom allena skall du tjena.

11. Då öfwergaf djefwulen honom, och si, Änglarne gingo fram, och tjente honom.

12. Då nu JEsus hörde, att Johannes war fången, drog han in i Galiieen;

13. Och öfwergaf Nazaret, och kom och bodde i Capernaum, som ligger | wid hafwet, på grånsen wid Zabulon och Nephthalim:

14. På det att fullkomnas skulle, det som sagdt war genom Esaia Propheten, som sade:

15. Det landet Zabulon, och det landet Nephthalim, wid haswets wåg, på denna sidan Jordan, och den hed nisfa Galileen:

16. Folket, som satt i mörkret, hafwer sett ett stort ljus; och dem, som bodde i dödsens engd och skugga, år ett ljus uppgångit.

17. Jfrån den tiden begynte JEsus fill att predifa, och sade: Görer bått ring himmelriket år kommit hardt når.

18. Når JEsus gick utmed det Galileesfa hafwet, såg han twå bröder, Simon, som kallas Petrus, och Andreas hans broder, de kastade sina nåt i haswet; ty de woro fiskare.

19. Och han fade till dem: Följer

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

12 Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee ;

13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim :

14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea for they were fishers.

Når han såg folket, steg han uppå ett berg; och som han hade satt sig, gingo hans Lårjungar fram till honom.

2. Då öppnade han sin mun, lårde dem och sade:

3. Salige åro de, som åro andelige fattige; th himmelriket hörer dem till. 4. Salige åro de bedröswade; th de skola få hugswalelse.

5. Salige åro de saktmodige; ty de sfola besitta jorden

6. Salige åro de, som hungra och törsta efter råttfärdigheten; th de skola blifwa måttade.

7. Salige åro de barmhertige; th dem skall ske barmhertighet.

20 And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan.

8. Salige åro de renhjertade; th de skola se Gud.

9. Salige åro de fridsanime; ty de stola kallas Guds barn.

10. Salige åro de, som lida förföljelse för råttwisans skull; th dem hörer himmelrifet till.

11. Salige åren I, når menniskorna försmåda och förfölja eder, och såga alt ondt emot eder, ljugande, för min skull.

12. Glädjens och fröjder eder, th eder lön år stor i himmelen; forth. de hafwa sammalunda förföljt Propheterna, som hafwa warit för eder.

13. I åren jordens salt; år det så, att saltet mister sin sålta, hwarmed skall man då salta? Till intet mer år | det nyttigt, utan att man kastar det ut, och låter det trampas af menuiskorna.

14. I åren werldens ljus: icke fan den staden döljas, som ligger på ett berg.

15. Je tånder man heller ljus, och såtter det under en sfeppa, utan på en ljusastafa; att det lyser alla dem, fom i huset åró.

16. Så låter edert ljus lysa för mennisforna, att de måga se edra goda gerningar, och prisa eder Fader, som år i himmelen.

17. I skolen icke mena, att jag år fommen till att upplossa lagen, eller Propheterna: jag år icke kommen till att upplossa, utan till att fullborda. 18. Th jag fåger eder för sant, till des att himmel och jord förgås warder ej förgången den minste bokstafwen, ice heller en prick af lagen, förr ån det år alt sfedt.

19. Derföre, hwilken som upplossar ett af dessa minsta buden, och lårer så menniskorna han skall kallas den minste i himmelriket; men hwilken som det gör, och lårer, han skall kallas stor i himmelriket.

20. Th jag såger eder, att utan eder ráttfärdighet öfwergår de Skriftlårdas,

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.

15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall ex

22. Men jag fåger eder, att hwilken som förtörnas på sin broder, han sfall wara skyldig under domen; men hwil- | fen som fåger Racha till sin broder, han år skyldig under Rådet; men hwilken som fåger, du dåre, han år skyldig till helfwetes eld.

23. Derföre, om du offrar din gåfwa på altaret, och kommer så ihog, att din broder hafwer något emot dig:

24. Så lågg der din gåfwa ned för altaret, och gack först bort, och förlika | dig med din broder, och kom sedan, och offra din gåswa.

25. Du sfall wara din tråtobroder benägen till wånskap snart, medan du ånnu år med honom på wågen; att din tråtobroder antwardar dig icke domarenom, och domaren autwardar dig tjenarenoni, och du kastas så i håttelse.

26. Sannerligen, såger jag dig: Du warder der icke utkommande, till des du hafwer betalat den yttersta skårfwen.

27. I hafwen hört, att det war sagdt dem gamlom: Du skall icke göra hor.

28. Men jag fåger eder: Hwilken som ser på en qwinna, till att begåra henne, han hafwer allaredan gjort hor med henne i sitt hjerta.

29. Om så år, att ditt högra öga år dig till förargelse, så rif det ut, och fastat ifrån dig: det år dig båttre, att en din ledamot förderfwas, ån att din hela kropp skulle fastas till helfwetes.

21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judg

ment:

22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee;

24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, while thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.

26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

34. Men jag fåger eder, att I skolen alsintet smårja, hwarken wid himmelen; th han år Guds stol:

35. Eller wid jorden: th hon år hans fotapall; ej heller wid Jerufalem; th det år en mågtig Konungs stad.

36. Ej heller skall du swårja wid ditt hufwud; th du förmår icke göra ett hår hwitt eller swart.

37. Men edert tal sfall wara: Ja, ją: nej, nej: hwad deröfwer år, det år af ondo.

38. I hafwen hört, att det år sagdt: Éga för öga, tand för tand.

39. Men jag såger eder, att I skolen ice stå det onda emot; utan år det så, att någon slår dig wid det högra findbenet, så wånd honom oct det andra till.

40. Och om någon will gå till råtta med dig, och taga din kjortel ifrå dig, låt honom oc haswa kåpan med.

41. Och om någon nödgar dig en mil, så gact twå med honom.

42. Gif honom som af dig bedes, och wånd dig ice ifrå honom, som något will låna af dig.

43. I hafwen hört, att det år sagdt: Du skall ålska din nästa, och hata din fiende.
