MR. BOYS has the pleasure to announce as now ready for delivery, the beautiful Work, so long in preparation,

ENTITLED

THE PICTURESQUE ARCHITECTURE

IN

PARIS, GHENT, ANTWERP, ROUEN, &c.

CONTAINING

TWENTY-NINE DRAWINGS FROM NATURE, AND ON STONE,
By THOMAS SHOTTER BOYS:

AND PRINTED ENTIRELY IN COLOURS BY C. HULLMANDEL.

The present Work being unique of its kind, and the Process entirely new to the public, some explanation may be acceptable as to the mode of its production. The descriptive notice accompanying the Drawings explains this more at length than can be done here; but it may be briefly stated, that every touch is the work of the Artist, and every impression the product of the press; printed entirely in Colours precisely as they now appear, without the addition of any subsequent touches whatever. One distinguishing advantage of this process is, that these printed Drawings obtain all the force of Oil Colour, with the brilliancy and light of Water Colour, an effect not to be produced by any other method than that here employed, viz. a succession of printings of the same subject with various oil colours on paper. The extraordinary perfection attained has excited general astonishment.

PRICE TO SUBSCRIBERS.

Handsomely bound for the Drawing-Room Table
Mounted, as separate Drawings, in a Portfolio..

....

SIX GUINEAS.
EIGHT GUINEAS.

But in consequence of this Work being the first of the kind, it was impossible to estimate correctly the expense and time requisite to produce it; these have been found to be so much more than was anticipated (and neither have been spared), that it is now necessary to announce, that on the 1st of March next the prices will be advancedBound Copies to EIGHT GUINEAS Mounted to TEN GUINEAS.
