The best Latin collection of his works is that of Amsterdam, 1670, 8 vols. 4to, or 1692-1713, 9 vols. 4to. They are now, however, only useful as affording points in the history of philosophy; and, from being the great oracle of his times, he is become only (as Voltaire has said)
