HYMN V. In due time Christ died for the ungodly. Rom. v. 6. ALAS! and did my Saviour bleed? Did he devote that sacred head Was it for sins that I had done Well might the sun in darkness hide, So be my boastings silenc'd too, When faith holds out before my view, HYMN VI. He is Lord of lords and King of kings. Rev. xvii. 14. ALL hail the great Emmanuel's name ! Ye angels, prostrate fall: Bring forth the royal diadem, Ye saints redeem'd of Adam's race, Ye ransom'd from the fall ; Hail him who saves you by his grace, Ye realms of ev'ry tongue and name, Oh! that with yonder glorious throng, Join in the everlasting song, And crown him Lord of all! HYMN VII. But this I say, brethren, the time is short. 1 Cor. vii. 29. AND now my soul, another year I cannot long continue here, Much of my dubious life is gone, Awake my soul, with utmost care Thy true condition learn; What are thy hopes? how sure, how fair? Now a new scene of time begins, Seek pardon for thy former sins, HYMN VIII. The Lord is risen indeed. Luke xxiv. 34.
