Tue FERRY AT TINTERNE.—This Plate, taken from the left bank of the Wye,

presents a North View of the Abbey, with the Western Front, the Nave, North Transept, part of the great Eastern Window, Remains of the Cloisters, the Abbey Gate communicating with the Ferry, with other Conventual Buildings now in ruins, or transformed into Cottages. The River at this point is of sufficient depth to float & moderately-sized trading craft............................................................
