What's Scripture Got to Do with It?

Every Christian could list core biblical truths in which he unquestionably believes. Unfortunately, few of us incorporate these core Christian beliefs into our lifestyle. How is it with you? Does your lifestyle consistently demonstrate the "answers" you say that the Bible has to life's questions? Or, as Jesus may ask on Judgment Day: "Are you being salt and light to those with whom you come into contact, or has your salt lost its savor, and is good for nothing else but to be trampled under foot?" For example, do you believe 1. God is smarter than man, yet rarely consider His advice before acting or reacting to your daily situations and circumstances? Or that 2. The Creator is in complete control of His creation, yet live as though Satan is in control of planet earth? Or that 3. God's Word is true, yet think that His truth is irrelevant to the "real world" outside of your home and Church? Or that 4. We should model Christ, not Satan, yet hesitate to serve God with "all" of your heart, soul and mind? Before God graciously called us into His kingdom we agreed with the portion of each of the four preceding statements after the "yet." After our supernatural heart transplant we now know that the portion of the above statements before the "yet" is true, yet sadly, few of us live as though they are true. This is something that needs repenting of because on Judgment Day Christ is not going to care about what we say we believed, but only about how we lived. You believe there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe - and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? James 2.19-21 Many of us have a lot of "Spiritual Dots" floating around inside our mind that for one reason or another have not connected to our everyday lifestyle. What's Scripture Got To Do With It? has been written to raise our awareness of those particular Spiritual Dots (core Christian beliefs) and to stress the urgency to live in accordance with them.
