(1.) The opinion of the attorney-general Raymond, that an act of assembly has the same effect in the colony, as an act of parliament has in the mother country,

In obedience to your lordships' commands, signified to me by Mr. Popple's letter, bearing date the 24th of July last, I have considered of an act, which was passed in Barbadoes, the 1st of August
